Amanda Moar Kerbawy, PhD, LP
Amanda Moar Kerbawy, PhD, LP, is a fully licensed psychologist. Dr. Kerbawy obtained her BA with honors in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California, and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology (with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy) from Wayne State University. Dr. Kerbawy holds a PhD in Educational Psychology (with a School Psychology Concentration) from Wayne State as well.
She has extensive training and experience in psychopathology, psychotherapy, and psychological assessment, working with children/adolescents, adults, families, students, couples, and parents. As part of her PhD program, Dr. Kerbawy completed a school psychology internship at an elementary and middle school in Rochester Hills, familiarizing her with the assessment services and special education certification process utilized by the Rochester Hills School District.
Dr. Kerbawy currently provides therapy services, using a cognitive behavioral modality, to children and adults experiencing ADHD, Anxiety Disorders (including OCD), Depression/Mood Disorders, Oppositional Defiant behaviors, Personality Disorders, etc. In addition, she provides diagnostic screening, and evaluations for learning disorders, intellectual disabilities, testing/school accommodations, and Autism. Dr. Kerbawy also offers school advocacy services in order to ensure that parents know and understand their rights when seeking specialized academic services for their child.
