Libby Quail is a licensed professional counselor who has a Master of Arts degree in School and Agency Counseling from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and Spanish from Marquette University. Libby’s teaching experience has been both at the middle school and high school level in public and private school settings.

Libby began her career as a counselor at the high school level. She worked with students and their families on academic success, preparation for college/vocational careers, career education, and the emotional and social issues facing high school students. She then had an opportunity to work with middle school students. As she worked with younger adolescents and their families, her focus was on organizational skills and academic performance, self-esteem, social and emotional well being, stress management, depression, grief/loss, divorce, and anxiety.

Her approach to counseling is person-centered because establishing trust and a strong rapport is so critical to working effectively with adolescents. She also employs solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Libby has over two decades years of experience as an educator and counselor.
