Lisa Michaux, MSN, PMHCNS-BC

Lisa graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  She received her Master of Science degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from St. Louis University. Lisa is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a clinical nurse specialist in child and adolescent psychiatric and mental health nursing. She is licensed to practice both as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner by the state of Michigan.

Lisa has over two decades of experience working in psychiatric nursing. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in the partial hospitalization program for adolescents with eating disorders. She is a member of the America Psychiatric Nursing Association (APNA), Sigma Theta Tau National Honor's Society of Nursing, and the Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing (ACAPN).

Lisa's primary interests and expertise include eating disorders, depression, anxiety, children and adolescents with chronic illness or developmental delays, and adoption/foster care issues.  Along with her psychiatric mental health nursing, she also has an extensive pediatric nursing background, including six years working in a pediatric critical care setting.
