The RCBM Team

The Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine (RCBM) brings together a team of more than a dozen mental health professionals with a wide variety of clinical backgrounds and interests. Our approach is based firmly on an integrated psychiatric and behavioral model and we offer full diagnostic and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults.

Under the medical leadership of Joel L. Young, MD , the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine specializes in the treatment of Depression, Bipolar Disorder and other mood and anxiety disorders. For over a decade, RCBM has been a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in children and adults. Rochester Center also offers a variety of specialized programs.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PRESCRIPTIONS

Please be advised that, due to international travel, Dr. Young will be unable to sign prescriptions for controlled substance medications WEDNESDAY, MAY 23, 2012 THROUGH MONDAY, MAY 28, 2012.  All prescriptions requested during this time will be filled on TUESDAY, MAY 29, 2012. Controlled substances include:  Adderall, Adderall XR, Concerta, Daytrana, Dexedrine, Focalin, Focalin XR, Methylin, Ritalin, and Vyvanse.

Tips for First Visit

We are located in Rochester Hills, MI about 20 minutes north of Detroit and ten minutes east of Pontiac. Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. You may want to download some forms and complete them prior to your initial visit.

Prescription Refills

To ensure quality medical management, it is RCBM policy that treatment plans are reviewed on a regular basis.

Insurance Information

What insurance plans do we accept at RCBM? Not all RCBM clinicians participate with the same insurance companies.

Clinical Trials

Opportunity for volunteers to participate in clinical research that may improve their clinical condition.

ADHD Treatment

A major emphasis of The Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine is the identification and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder throughout the life span.
