We recognize the busy lives that our patients lead and how difficult it can be to fit face-to-face appointments into your schedule. For this reason, we are pleased to offer medication management and counseling/coaching sessions over the telephone. This allows the convenience of an appointment without having to account for the additional time it takes to travel to and from our office.
Phone appointments can be particularly convenient in the event of inclement weather, illness that makes it difficult to attend an appointment in person, child care issues, or the need for an appointment while you are out of town.
Should you need prescriptions at the time of your appointment, we are happy to submit your prescriptions to your pharmacy or mail them to you (depending on the type of medication).
Please be advised that, at this time, most insurance companies do not offer reimbursement for phone appointments. For this reason, these appointments are an out-of-pocket expense. We encourage you to have a credit card available at the completion of your phone appointment so a balance does not accrue.
Please also note that if there is a last-minute change to your schedule and you wish to conduct your scheduled in-person appointment as a phone appointment, we are happy to accommodate you. Please contact our front office at (248) 608-8800 in order to inform us of this change.
