Helena Hill, LMSW
Helena Hill obtained a Masters in Social Work from Wayne State University and completed her undergraduate studies and Oakland University with a Bachelors of Social Work. Helena is licensed and certified in the state of Michigan. She has experience working in a community mental health clinic with adults, families and groups. She also has experience working with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and transgender community. Helena’s areas of interest include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, aging, geriatrics, adolescents, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem.
Helena is passionate about helping aging patients. Aging is a natural process that can present a number of issues such as transitioning to retirement, facing one’s own mortality, changes in cognition and physical health, and facing deaths of friends, partners and peers. Helena has experience in helping older adults through life’s many transitions to manage emotions and find new sources of enjoyment and meaning. She can help facilitate family members and caregivers through this process as well through helping to manage emotions and locating helpful community resources.
