Katie obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Michigan. Upon graduation, Katie moved to Chicago, where she worked as a registered nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in pulmonary medicine. From there, Katie moved to Philadelphia and obtained a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
