Katherine Tessmar completed her undergraduate study at Oakland University with a BA in Psychology. She then obtained a Masters of Social Work Degree at Wayne State University. Kathy is a clinical social worker, who practices psychotherapy and conducts clinical research with children, adolescents, and adults here at RCBM. Kathy has training in both clinical and school social work, with her major areas of interest being in ADHD and other learning/developmental disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, relationship and self-esteem issues, and grief and loss.
In addition to utilizing her therapeutic skills, Kathy also conducts clinical research. She greatly enjoys being part of the research team and is appreciative of how research contributes to advancements in the mental health field.
