Benjamin Young, MS, MD, Research Associate
At RCBM, Ben has been involved in psychometric testing, data collection, and trial recruitment. His research with the Clinical Trials Group led to several poster presentations throughout the country at the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders and the American Psychiatric Association. Ben’s experience working on intranasal esketamine clinical trials inspired his master’s thesis, entitled Ketamine for Treatment-Resistant Depression and Related Conditions: A Review of a Novel and Needed Treatment Option. Ben was published in The Journal of Team Hippocrates for his paper on lisdexamfetamine and Binge Eating Disorder.
Ben has delivered departmental rounds on Malingering in Psychosis and has a special interest in psychometric assessment of ADHD and comorbid conditions to optimize treatment planning. Using his perspective as an early career psychiatrist, Ben consults for the digital start-up, MindMetrix. Ben graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2023 and is pursuing his residency training at the WSU general psychiatry program. He intends to pursue a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
