Christopher J.  Discenna,    PA-C

Christopher J. Discenna, PA-C is a physician assistant who graduated Cum Laude along with departmental honors from Oakland University, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He attended Western Michigan University, receiving his Master of Science degree in Medicine with a focus in Physician Assistant Studies. Christopher’s passion for behavioral medicine was sparked during his outpatient psychiatry rotation in Northville, MI where he worked with a wide spectrum of patients seeking behavioral treatment. During his training, he took a strong interest in working with children and the adolescent population. It gave him great satisfaction watching these groups of patients improve significantly with the help of focused treatment, giving them the ability to tackle the rigors of life, whether at home or at school.

Christopher cares for all patient populations and age groups, with a focus in pediatric behavioral medicine. He shows interest in treating adult and pediatric behavioral conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. He continues to learn about new treatments and different medications used to treat many of these debilitating conditions. He also offers genetic testing to help facilitate which medication and treatment plan best suits his patient’s genetic makeup. Christopher shows great empathy and is committed to forming a professional rapport with his patients and their families. Christopher is excited to be a team member at Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine and looks forward to meeting you.
