Sydney Salloum, LLPC

Sydney is a limited licensed therapist who works from a person-centered perspective, grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each individual's unique story. She believes therapy is a collaborative process, where patients are the experts in their own experiences, and she works together with you towards your goals. She specializes in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and anxiety. She has worked with diverse clients across various levels of care, including outpatient and higher levels of care treatment. These experiences have helped her to show up with flexibility, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental presence. Sydney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Wayne State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. Sydney recognizes the significant connection between mental health and nutrition, particularly in supporting patients in their relationship with food and their bodies. She draws from several evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She tailors these approaches to your unique needs, always centering around collaboration, compassion, and trust.
