Yvonne Stumpf, MSN, RN, CS, NP
Yvonne graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Mercy College of Detroit (now University of Detroit Mercy) with honors. Her Master of Science degree in Child, Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing was earned from Wayne State University also with honors. She is licensed as a registered nurse and as a nurse practitioner. She is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. In addition, Yvonne has been a long term member of the International Honors Society for Psychiatric Nurses and has been in the Who’s Who for Professionals.
Yvonne has worked over 40 years in psychiatric nursing and as a nurse practitioner. She has over 30 years of experience working with the inpatient / hospitalized population, partial day crisis programs and in outpatient private practice clinics. Yvonne has treated children, teens, adults, geriatric and families in a variety of therapy settings. Yvonne has served over 10 years on the board and been a member of the Michigan and National Associations of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing Advocates (later merged with the American Psychiatric Nurses Association).
Yvonne’s primary interest is assisting children, teens and young adults in the areas of anxiety, panic, depression, sleep disorders, developmental problems, autism spectrum, ADHD, obsessive and compulsive disorders. Though she had been providing therapy for over 25 years, she has extensive experience in the area of psychotropic medications; primarily prescribing for the younger populations. Yvonne strongly believes in the team approach that is available at Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine; so young people develop life skills, coping and learn better decision making and self- management for the highest functioning possible in life.
